Serena Williams is turning 34 and we are on the verge of the celebration party. Lots of buzzes have already started regarding her birthday party. The more she is growing older, the more bold and strong she is turning. The loss of Serena Williams on US open has given her some moment to grief however her birthday is expected to be extravagant where many Hollywood celebs are expected to attend. We should not miss the birthday gift by Drake to Serena which is big thing right now among media. So, once again happy birthday, Serena Williams. We expect you get wonderful gifts on your birthday this year.

Serena Williams Elbow Injury

Serena Williams was forced to pull out of Swedish Open with elbow injury this year due to the severe pain in her elbow. The world no. 1 said she felt the pain on elbow on the very first game. Serena Williams said she was having pain in elbow and felt it during the match. However she beat Belgian qualifier Ysaline Bonaventure by 6-2, 6-1 straight win. Being winner of Swedish open in 2013, Serena Williams was very sad to drop the tournament. She said, what she did was best for her body however it was very difficult decision to make. Serena Williams seemed very sad when she announced her withdrawal to the audience and promised to see them on Bastad.

Serena Williams said “I always enjoy my time here. I have such a great time. My fans here are really amazing, I love all you guys.” Serena Williams was supported with a big applause by audience. However it was not clear how big the injury was and how long Serena Williams would be sidelined.  Spokesperson of Swedish Open said the organizers were obviously sad when World’s no. 1 can’t continue to play on the tournament.

Serena Williams training and coaches

Serena Williams started her tennis training at the age of 3. Her father Richard Williams was first instructor. She started to train with her sister Venus, and half sisters Yetunde, Lyndria and Isha Price. Her father home-schooled her and Venus where her mother Oracene was official coach. Later they moved to West Palm Beach, Florida where she attended tennis academy of Rick Macci, who provided additional coaching. When Serena Williams was 10, she was ranked no. 1 in Florida under 10 players.

When she was in 9th grade of school, she was pulled out of Macci’s academy and started coaching her at home.  Richard is less visible these days however is still coaching Serena Williams.

Patrick Mouratoglou is her current coach who has joined Serena Williams squad since 2012.
