Serena Williams training and coaches

Serena Williams started her tennis training at the age of 3. Her father Richard Williams was first instructor. She started to train with her sister Venus, and half sisters Yetunde, Lyndria and Isha Price. Her father home-schooled her and Venus where her mother Oracene was official coach. Later they moved to West Palm Beach, Florida where she attended tennis academy of Rick Macci, who provided additional coaching. When Serena Williams was 10, she was ranked no. 1 in Florida under 10 players.

When she was in 9th grade of school, she was pulled out of Macci’s academy and started coaching her at home.  Richard is less visible these days however is still coaching Serena Williams.

Patrick Mouratoglou is her current coach who has joined Serena Williams squad since 2012.
